When Emotions was unleashed by Cricket

Needless to say, IPL 09 has been a real source of disappointment for Kolkata. I won't tag KKR's performance as a "blunder throughout", but would rather like to put in the form that others were somewhat better. With all hopes of clinching to the semis were shattered, I would still stick to the TV for their matches inorder to appreciate their performance. But in most of the matches they got out-performed by the opposition. It was this game against Chennai Super Kings who managed to put up a humungous score on board and I's once again sensing a loss for KKR. However, McCullum (with his anxiety visible on his body language) started the innings with a superb series of boundaries & over boundaries, that contunied till the 11th over. He managed to establish the backbone for a win, where Hodge & Saha gave the finishing touch to victory.

With 2 balls to go and 3 runs to fetch, I's already half way through the half dozen of my nails. When Saha was hitting the winning runs, somehow someone hit my emote chords and I's off to some form of tears.I's as eagerly waiting for a win as the whole team was. For me, KKR's win was still a treasure as it potrayed the quality of cricket we can play ,irrespective of the losses they faced. I'd call it the finest match KKR has won ever since the invasion of IPL. Hat's off to you guys! You can still snatch wins keeping aside the criticism and barriers. Finally with some form of biasness special credits to Wridhiman Saha, who has proved his mettle as a batsman.

Stunners:
    McCullum   81 (48)
    Hodge*     71 (44)
    Saha*        25 (13)

Though the KKR had 2 good games towards the end but inspite being a KKR fan I must say that their performance this year was awful..
